I started quilting in January and was visiting all the quilt shops I could find.  When I walked into one they had this quilt on the wall and I fell in love with it.  So, I signed up for the class (though I Had to miss the last one) and am thrilled with how it turned out.  I love working with all the bright colors.

I love to see stained glass windows in beautiful churches.  I also love your version made with wonderful fabrics.

Also reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright.  I use to actually do stained glass projects.  Haven't done any thing in years.

I love every color and the whole design.  Your pattern?  I think I may have seen a few similar.

P.S.  I have always wanted to do either real stained glass or a stained glass quilt based on Georgia O'Keefe  paintings.  Esp her Poppy!

Thank you for the kind comments.  The pattery is quite easy as it was just the 2nd quilt I ever made so I think anyone should be able to do this.  The pattern is in a book by Jane Hardy Miller called French Braid.  I literally spent weeks driving to every quilt shop in my area trying to find the right fabrics.  My hubby was even a sweety and came with me to find the fabrics.  If anyone does pick up the book to make the quilt, send me an e-mail as their are a few tips I can share that were shared with me that made a huge difference and were not in the book.

Love it! Isn't stain glass fun? I didn't find it as hard as some quilters make it out to be. But then I'll try anything at least once.
