Magic Stack N Whack made by my Mother

After making my Stack N Whack, my Mother wanted to make one. It was her first quilt. I loved how her colors turned out!!! It is not completely finished. I just need to add the binding for her. This was machine quilted by Debra Ledbetter, Pulaski, TN.

The Book: "Magic Stack N Whack Quilts" by Bethany S. Reynolds      an  American Quilter's Society book 1998

Pattern: Half-Square Triangle Magic pg. 28

Absolutely beautiful!  I did look at a book at the quilt shop yesterday after seeing the photo of the one you did now I guess I will buy the book.  Thanks for the nudge.

this is so beaautiful. I just don't understand the technique for these. I was just reading about them last night....and I just didn't get it.

Linda, this quilt was made from the book "Magic Stack N. Whack Quilts" by Bethany S. Reynolds. It is called "Half Square Triangle Magic" page 28. The bookis a American Quilter's Society Book.  Copyrighted 1998. She has written more books since this one.

LaJauan, I listed the book info for Linda last post. Do you know how to wallpaper??? I know it sounds like a silly question....however...fabrics have a "repeat" just like wallpaper does. In a Stack n Whack, you fine the repeat. layer the desired about of layers you need per quilt instructions. I think mine was 8. Layer 8 of the same repeats as oer your chosen pattern. The follow the pattern for the correct way to cut thru alll eight layers. It takes alittle thinking, but it really is not that hard.
