Aloha Shirts ~ Wall hanging for Mom

My Mom used to live in Kauai, Hawaii and made "aloha shirts" for a little store on the Island. She had send me her scraps and I made her this little wall hanging so she would always remember her days in Kauai. The little shirts are made by folding fabric and they even have mini buttons sewn on them. Aloha~

Your mother, I imagine, enjoys this quilt very much.  You are very lucky that she sent you her scraps.  Such bright and pretty colors on these Hawaiian fabrics.  Where can I find out how to  fold the fabric to make these shirts?

Cathy, this is just adorable. I love it. What a clever idea and the bottons really are a cute addition. I would love to learn this technique.

What a darling wall hanging for your Mom.  Aloha shirts have such nice colorful fabrics.

Love this, it's really cute.  Someone just showed me how to do this and I made 12 shirts but didn't know what I was going to do with them . . . now I know.  Thanks so much for sharing!
