I drew this out on paper a couple of months ago.  I love it.  I wasn't sure about the colors, but feel they look nice together.  Next time I will rotate the six little pinwheels so they are the same direction as the ones in the big blocks.  I am thinking of doing a pieced border on the next one as well.

What A BEAUTIFUL QUILT! The colors are perfect, they remind me of a clear night sky. Do you have a pattern and instructions to share? I have a NINETY TWO year old Aunt who still quilts. Aunt Irene hand sews most of her quilts and I look for new patterns to help keep her sharp, she really doesn't need help but I tell her I am helping.

I design a few quilts myself with ideas I see in fabrics, other quilt patterns and by just letting my imagination run.

Thank you everyone for the nice comments. You encourage me to keep trying new things and designing new quilts.  I would be willing to email the pattern in instructions to BelleSooty when I get them written down. I do know that it could be scrappy with a jelly roll as it is made with mostly 2 1/2 in strips.

Debi--this is so beautiful.  Love your design.  Don't change the samll pinwheels, I think they add character to your quilt.

I agree with the pinwheels as they are. I'm not sure I understand how you would change them anyway (LOL).

You have the most amazing eye for color combos and I can see again the batik influence in your fabrics. I am in love with the Black and White secret window you did.
