Simple beginners STRIP quilt in vibrant colors
This is a beginners quilt pattern - quick and easy. The hardest thing for me was the handwork to attach the binding.
Instead of using 24 different fat quarters, I used 12 half yard pieces salvage to salvage. The strips were a bit awkward due to their lengh but went together fast.
Most of the fabrics are standard cotton quilting fabrics but I added a few battiks for some interest.
The loop that was created and pulling out a seem for each strip made the counterset of squares easy to follow.
My husband chose the color scheme and the frog patterned long-arm quilting done in a coordinating aqua. The outcome was better than I could ever have expected and it's big enough that even when my husband steals all the covers, I still get some.
