My jelly roll quilt top.

Well, sort of.  This is my first attempt at a quilt with a "real" pattern.

I am now quilting it and man oh man do I know where all my uh ohs are.  Lots of mistakes - wrong type of fabric for one!

But I learned alot from it.

I think the fabric is beautiful and so is the quilt.

I like the print/pattern, you should be very proud of your first attempt.

Beautiful! Why do you say the fabric was wrong?

Thanks Carol, Barbara and Karyn.

Karyn, the fabric was definitely a wrong choice.  This fabric has glitter on it and is really hard to press.  I should have checked to see what the mix was.  But I bought it way before I started QCA. The white was broadcloth but it was not 100% cotton and when I tried to press my seams, it would shrink every time I set the iron on it. Even with a low temperature. So things just didn't match up or lay very flat.  I had lots of bunching up and overlapping on the back and front.

I learned "I" cannot use anything unless it is 100% cotton for now.  After I get to be a pro like you all, maybe I'll venture out on other fabrics.

My mom loves it though and it is now her lap quilt.
