These are the loveys I made for our hospital NICU. I wish I'd had more "boy" flannel, but I don't have lots of baby fabric anyway.  This will be a good excuse to buy some baby flannel FQs!

Loveys??  I'm not familiar with that term. What does that mean?

How wonderful that you have made these for the NICU --- but what is a "lovey" and how large are they???

A lovey is two pieces of flannel sewn together without backing.  The mother wears one for a few hours until her scent is imbedded in it, then they place it under the baby's head in the crib so the baby has the mother's scent even when she isn't there and it's comforting to them.
