This project started out with a block swap in 1996, with an online group called Silver Threads. We all made maple leaf blocks, sent them to the hostess, who pulled a name out of the hat. What a surprise when I won! I had enough blocks to make a bed quilt for my brother for Christmas that year, with some left over. A couple of years ago, I got out the pile of Maple leaf blocks and made a few more, but it wasn't until this summer that I decided to turn them into a quilt. Tah Dah! My oldest UFO is now a FO! The pattern, if anyone is interested, is from quilter's cache. I machine quilted it with a varigated thread: green, orange and yellow.
