Happy Day Baby

I found these wonderfully soft flannel baby prints and some coordinating minke.  I came up with this design so that as the baby is laying in the center of it, his hands, head and feet can all touch the minke.  While it is not "technically" a quilt (I opted for no batting since the flannels were so warm) it still has that quilt feel.

That's ok if it doesn't have batting. Sometimes that batting is just too heavy for the season or the area you live in. It's still a quilt to me and a cute one at that. Any little one would love to lay on this and play or be cuddle up with it. Great job!

I love it.  My daughter got some quilts like this when she had her baby and they were great.  They didn't have battig either and it was perfect as batting would have changed the feel of it and made it too warm.  Babies love that texture and minkie is almost as soft as babies are.

It's still a quilt and a very cute one!! Down here in the south if I have 2 layers of flannel I usually leave off the batting too!
