I hand pieced the tumbling blocks using english paper piecing while waiting...at airports, Dr.'s, etc. from 2003-2010.  The boarders are appliqued with leftover pieces of the blocks, and the quilting was done by Lain Stowe(Sew Much Fun Columbus GA).  I sewed 1 block together backwards (accidently) and did not discover my mistake untill it was already in the quilt...I decided to leave it in as a "Humility Block".  My Grandkids love to serch for my Mistake!

Love this quilt when I first saw the small photo it looked like a table full of brightly colored Easter Eggs.  Tumbling Blocks has always fascinated me.  Thanks for sharing.

Very Pretty. I love the Tumbling block pattern but never thought about paper pieceing one. A lot of work but worth it.

The "humility block" is aqua and is in the 6th row down, about in the center...the medium and dark are mixed up.

Your quilt is absolutely gorgeous. The colors stand out so well against the black.

I have been searching the web for directions on how to cut and assemble the pieces to this quilt. Do you share?
