My church has a ministry called "Prayers & Squares". Quilts are made for someone in need of comfort, and ties are put in. When the quilt is selected, people say prayers for the recipient so that when they received the quilt, every tie represents a prayer said just for them. I do at least minimal machine quilting to make sure the quilts stay together in the wash.

I bought a blue and yellow floral print to go with a project.  Unfortunately, it just didn't work with that project, so another prayer quilt was born

I really love your quilt and am now considering making an Irish chain quilt for a family member.  You picked beautiful colors and I like the fact that each tie represents a prayer.  What a kind thing to do.  Take care.
