My DS graduated in June.  He will be getting a CQ which will serve as an historical account of his life to date.  One ot the milestones in his life was attending a youth gathering with 5,000 kids from all over the US last summer in New Orleans.  The theme of this gathering was "we believe".

When the quilt is finished, I will post the final picture.

Oh - I went over to the crazy quilt group to check out the rest of your blocks.  This is going to be a great quilt.

Very nice - is that foam paint used for the writing?

I bought a set of 6 colors of "Scribbles" fabric paint.  I originally wanted to machine stitch all the writing on the blocks but I don't use my embroidery machine often enough and it is rebelling against me right now.  There was not enough time to do this by hand, and so the scribbles were the best solution.  My first thoughts were that I am not fond of my handwritting but was encouraged to do this myself so that he will have something extra that is special from me.  I am happy with the results to date and hope to finish the top this week.
