I made my first quilt as a welcome-to-the-family gift for my great nephew. I designed the quilt and embroidered his full name, date and place of birth on it. I also made a tote bag with the left over fabric and used it to "gift wrap" the quilt. The baby loves the quilt for lounging in the living room and his parents are making great use of the tote bag to carry baby essentials.
I'm officially hooked on quilting and am now making a wedding quilt for another family member.
