A couple of years ago I made this bag for my friend Suzanne as she is crazy about frogs. The frog was embroidered by my machine and then I just added complimentary fabrics for my own tote pattern. She returned the bag to me last week to put an outer closure on it as she uses it for her large Kindle and the inner closure doesn't work for that. I added a little strapping to match the handle, added a buttonhole and button and returned it to her yesterday. She was so happy.

That's a great frog embroidery.  Nice job on the bag.

Denise - this is a great project idea.  It is the first time I've seen machine embroidery combined with a tote bag on the Show & Tell gallery, though I'm still a newbie here.  I have an embroidery machine and love to make totes.  I think of all the test sews I've done on a new embroidery design.  This would be a great way to use them.  Most of my friends are cat lovers so I could see doing one like that instead of the frog.  Thanks for posting such a wonderful tote project!

Thanks, Kay. I'll have to post some of my other quilt and embroidery tote projects one of these days. It's just plain fun to combine quilting/sewing/embroidery as much as possible!
