I'm with you Nancy -- I can't tell whether the center portion is applique or a panel. Either way, it is a darling baby quilt.
Well, that's the dilemma I was having with the quilt kit. After I received it in the mail I realized the center was just a panel. Very boring looking. The instructions called for vertical quilting ling lines across the panel. After asking for help on the forum, I then decided to take several people's advice ad using the various decorative stitched on my machine to go around each figure as if I were appliquéing them on with matching thread. I had a blast doing it and I thought it came out pretty cute. Thanks to all who helped and especially to Leslie for sending me the magazine.( kit didn't come with instructions)
