A friend wanted a quilt for her beach theme house....I used a bargello pattern for creating the waves, added applique starfish, shells and sand-dollars on the 'beach', and attached fabric 'yo-yo's'  for the foam bubbles on the beach.  The side panels were quilted on the pattern lines of circles and scroll markings.  A wave stitch was quilted across the bargello waves to add to the effect, and a stiple stitch on the seam lines. The fabrics were batiks and prints.

Really love this bargello.   I am still working on mine.  It is not that they are that hard, just takes a long time to make. At least for me.   Great job on this one.

I'm going to get around to making a bargello one of these days.  They intrigue me.

This is really pretty Sherri.  The bargello section is such gorgeous colors and your appliqued area really finishes it off so well.
