I was so excited to see this quilt posted in the gallery!  I have this pattern picked out to make for my friend's first grandchild.  We have owned sailboats and so do the future grandparents.  We are all "land-locked" now but thought this would be a way to welcome the new grandchild which would represent our common hobby.  Hopefully this beautiful quilt will be a hit at your reunion and raise money to have many more gatherings!

Love the colorful sails on your boats.  I have seen similar quilts but never with the scrappy sails!
