I started this quilt when I was burned out on my machine and after I had broke my neck I couldnt sit at my machine for long.  So I took up the hand stitching while I could sit comfortably on my couch and heal!  I just love 1930's fabrics.  They are so very cheerful.

Very nice!  You must have been healing for a long time because there's a lot of Yo-Yo's in there!

Goodness -- That's a BUNCH of Yo-Yos!  Will you put something behind them  to fill in the little spaces between the different Yo-Yos?

It actually went pretty quick making them and I'm going to leave it like it is and hang it at the end of my bed.  Thanks for the compliments :D

Nice, how many yoyo did you use?  I have been making Christmas yoyo for about four year off and on.  I  do not now how many I have, or need...

If I counted right - 36 x 29 rows = 1,044 yoyo's.

Way to go!

Did you fasten them as you went along, or wait until the end?

Fantastic!  I love it.  I just started making yo-yo's after having brain surgery last fall.  Had no idea how many I needed, now I have the answer - Thanks much!!  Did you use a piece of cardboard the old fashioned way or did you use the yo-yo makers?  Also what size are your yo-yos?

they were 3 inch circles  and I fastened them after I had about half of them done and I just keep adding to it as I go.  And I did them by hand, I've never used one of the yo yo makers.  they are really easy to make while you're watching tv and relaxing and it does help with my ummmm 'mental health' !!!! LOL

This is so cool! I made a yo yo christmas tree on a cone shaped foam last year. Just making those drove me nuts! My 'mental health' would be completely gone after making that many yo yos!

I too like the 1930's prints.  I would also like to do a yo-yo quilt.  Your quilt is giving me inspiration  to get started.  Good job!
