This lap quilt and book bag was made for a friend who retired from teaching. She is an avid reader.
The quilt is a rag quilt made with cotton fabric and flannel was used for the filler. (Size 40 x 60) I quilted it after the squares were joined in a diagonal pattern, carefully quilting through the ragged corners. The ragged corners fluffed up after washing. There is no pattern for the quilt or bag, my friend Donis and I just made it up as we worked. Our friend really loved it.
