This is a raw edge applique, both machine and by hand, beading and free motion quilting.

This is a great wall hanging Denise.  I love the undulating "sand" quilting.

@ Nancy. This was a pattern. The pattern had very clear applique designs. The only thing "mine" are the added tulle to shimmer like sand, the quilting for the sand and the grasses, the little rocks throughout the sand and the beading in the sky. Start with the pattern and add your own embellishments.

After your comment about the free motion grass, I had to go back and look at it close up again!  They are neat!!
