The theme quilt again can you believe it! I collect the novelty fabric and the is the car quilt. We have most of these cars in different stages of restore and new ones. I was a carhop when I was young the first job I ever had and it was with the roller skates (Sumburger Driven-In), stroll down memory lane for me. The center I fussy cut the out then placed the top on something that looked like the sky and then I wanted something for the black top, I used wonder under to fuse everything together and then I placed tear away under neath the satin stitches and changed colors as I sewed across the two pieces where the sky meets the fussy cut and the same for the fussy cut and the blacktop material. Now I have one large center piece, I cut the batting to the center piece size and a flannel piece for the backing pressing everything and I spray baste (Quilt Basting Spray by SULLIVANS) (Pink and White can). I start quilting I look at the center and try not to quilt through faces or cars, I sew the rest of the strips the same way I fussy cut the cars and try to match the back ground color so it looks like they are floating, and I don't cut through the cars and my material can be used again for something else later. I am trying to get the best bang for my buck the green one. The size of the quilt is full size bed. Yes he loves the quilt.

Thank you for looking
