Ever since I spotted this quilt, designed by Cheri Allen, in the March/April 1999 issue of Quiltmaker I was smitten. I couldn't sleep that night, as I thought of this wonderful design, and the next morning I hurried out and purchased the fabric. It stayed on display in the hoop as I slowly hand quilted it. I loved this display so much I have never placed it on a wall.

I've always loved the scripture of the Lion lying down with the lamb. But I've never believed the adage of March coming in like a lion and going out like a lamb. It doesn't work that way here in the Rocky Mountains. We got snow in May this year.

I loved this shot with the quilt in the background and my 90-year old mom holding one of my sixteen grandchildren. This is one of her 27 great-grand children. With all those wonderful grand children in our lives, there is always much to celebrate.

I felt like the quilt made a perfect background for this candid photo.

It is by far my most favorite quilt from Quiltmaker.

What a great picture! It looks like the lion is watching over the two happy care-free people, keeping them safe while they enjoy each other's company!

I'm excited to see your March Mascots quilt.  This issue was my very first Quiltmaker Magazine.  It sure brings back my quilting start!  I loved reading your story.  My compliments to your photographer for capturing this moment.  A great job on your quilt too.

What a fantastic picture.  I just happened to come across that magazine when I was reorganizing my sewing room a couple of weeks ago and I thought again how wonderful that quilt was, but what would I ever do with it.  I am so happy to see that someone made use of it and what a wonderful picture to remember your family with also.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. Loretta, I really don't know what I will do with it either, but I still just LOVE it.

Thanks to all the sweet people who took time to comment. I hope you all have a wonderful 4th.
