When I told my niece I would make her a quilt for her wedding, she chose blacks, golds and tans as her colors of choice.  I searched and searched for a pattern that might work with this color palette and then ordered fabric on line.  I had to add "cream" to the palette so the pattern would "pop", and then after completing the top, I quilted using meandering and "hearts".  In the four corner pieces, I actually quilted their names and wedding date inside quilted hearts.   I was exceptionally pleased with the result.

nice job i love those combinations also. i am going to make a balack/white quilt with burnt orange swirly accents. i can't wait to do it. quiltykaren
