Is each one of the pieces outlined in black a small bit of fabric or is it a larger piece of fabric that you embellish with black to make it look like smaller pieces of "glass" ?
It is all machine appliqued. First i had to find a very good detail of the window. A very good photographer by the name of Gordon Plumb allowed me to use his great images. I then spent weeks digitizing and I am still not done. I then appliqued and embroidered in a machine embroidery hoop. Lastly I quilted it to a black fabric. If people don't get too bored with my project, I will continue to show the progression of this quilt.
I won't get bored, I like them they look like alot of hard work
