My grandchildren helped color the pictures for this quilt. We traced pictures in coloring books and in Bible storybooks and colored them on cotton fabric, pressing them to set the color and remove the excess wax. My oldest grandson painted some of the pictures freehand with fabric paints as well. I'm still jumping hurdles to get it quilted.

The picture was taken after a Toastmasters meeting. I made a speech about making Bible quilts with children and won first place for the best speech.

Beautiful quilt, great way to get grandchildren involved and learning about the bible at the same time!!!

Janice - great job - what an awesome undertaking. Our church uses the Storying cloth to teach bible stories plus we send them to missionaries as well - but this technique would also go well for that type of ministry.  I'm impressed!

How totally unique!  This is really nice Janice.  Kinda reminds me of the flannel board that my Mom used with her Sunday school classes.
