And this quilt  was also started in 2002 - and I just finished it a few weeks ago!

I call it the "Learning Quilt" because if you look up close, you'll see that indeed there was a LOT of learnin' goin' on. I felt like it was my first "grown-up" quilt - in that I went through the process of creating a traditional binding (thanks to QCA Liz S. who showed me the way) and all those half-square triangles.....Can you say Thangles? I did!

The pattern is called "Harvest Glow" and it's from the book Home for the Harvest by Nancy Smith & Lynda Milligan.

It's my second quilt, and I've definitely been bitten by the bug. I know I've learned a lot just by hangin' out with everyone here, so thank you for helping me accomplish this!

Well done!  Love your color selection, and yes, that's a lot of half-square triangles!

Thanks, everyone.

Gini, for now it's living with me as a reminder (and motivator) that I can complete an entire quilt AND that imperfections give a quilt its charm. :) Spoken like a true beginner, right???

Peg, it's gorgeous. So glad I got to see it up close! You should be proud of yourself.

Peg,

It's just beautiful, and looks like quite a challenge with all the HST's! Love your border too. Thanks for sharing, and yes, as QCA Liz said, you should be proud.

WOW....it certainly would have been a shame if this lovely quilt had remained a UFO....

You call yourself a beginner, I call you a Pro.

I give you an A+.  It is a work of art. There are no mistakes in my book.  In watercolor the word "mistake" usually turns out to become a jewel.

I love your quilt.  I have three started and pray for more time to devote to this love of my life.  Until then, I will be thrilled to quilt vicariously by the ones like yours.  Thank you for sharing.  You are a perfectionist and the final result is proof.

Ethel
