This is the eighth hand-appliquéd block in my book The Creation. Since the honeycomb layout works best with seven cells, I didn't include Adam and Eve in the previous arrangement. They will all eventually be used in a single Bible quilt, though that will be at least a couple more years down the road at the rate I'm going. I'm designing and teaching myself the ropes as I go. My vision for this project is to see children going to bed at night pulling a Bible quilt up to their chins, pointing to one of the quilt blocks and asking to hear that story again - and hopefully encouraging the practice of daily family Bible study and devotions at bedtime.
