The pattern for this bear came from the Jan/Feb 2011 issue of Quiltmaker magazine.  As soon as I saw it I new that my niece who was expecting her first child - a little girl needed this quilt.  I modified the eyes and buttons to appear more round and also a slight change to the nose and eyebrows.  The quilt back is Minky so it will be a cuddly quilt for my grandniece Mollie who was born on April 9th.

This one is so adorable.  I have a friend expecting a girl (after four boys).  I may need to make this for her.

Your border sure makes the bear pop.  I really like the quilt, nice to have a baby quilt on hand.

How exciting Quiltmaker wants to feature your quilt!  Minky is so soft and cuddly to use as a backing.  Hope you have lots of opportunities to hold precious Mollie.  Congratulations Grand Aunt!  Sandi
