2 Hawaiian blocks

My practice blocks before I try a full sized Hawaiian quilt.  I figure by the time I do 12 for a lap quilt, I should be good enough to do one big one!

Love the patterns and look of these types of quilts, I can't wait to have one!

once you have finished one of these blocks, you are ready for a full-sized quilt.  you now have all the skills you need. the hard part is getting the design on the fabric, the rest is the applique you are lready familiar with. go for it.   i took a class form nancy chong, (you might want to check out her website pacific rim quilts), the first quilt she made was a queen, hawaiian quilt, she had never done any handwork.
