Pattern from Quiltmaker Magazine January/February 2010 issue called Kite'n Kaboodle designed by June Dudley.  I didn't even need to think about a name for this quilt!  This a Project Linus pattern for 2010 Make-A-Blanket Day that Quiltmaker supports for Project Linus annually.  You might notice the kites are all flying in the same direction...that was because when I reproduced the foundation pattern I forgot to reverse the pattern and didn't have opportunity at hand to fix them.  Let's just say it was a westwardly breeze that day!   It was quilted by Kerry's Quilting (doing the kite tails was an experience).  It finished in May 2010 and measures 34" x 34".

Very pretty. I like the kites all going the same direction.

Love your kites.  Who is to judge which way kites should fly anyhow.  Even if some were upside down.  After all the wind plays tricks with kites when they are up in the air and the bob all over the place so you can have a westward wind.

I saw this pattern and wanted to make it.  I really like the way you did it.  Love the blue that you chose for the background.
