Pattern from Quiltmaker Magazine March/April 1999 issue called Prairie Schooner designed by Karen MacCarter.  This quilt was made as a gift for my sister Karen.  It was enterd in the San Diego Quilt Show in 2004.  Quiltmaker photographed it in January 2004 for a QM Spotlight article that published in September/October 2007.  Quiltmaker photographed it again in December 2007 and featured it in their All Time Favorite Spring 2008 issue.  It was finished in June 2002.  It measures 108" x 97".

This looks like it was a lot of work.  Beautiful job!  You are convincing me to be a Quiltmaker subscriber.

I remember your quilt from when I saw it in the magazine! I just love those colors and the Bear Par is one of my favorite blocks.

Absolutely stunning. The story of your quilt's adventures is not at all surprising.
