I had to have a 'Cat' theme for my son's quilt, no doubt about it. We are a family full of cat lovers. It's based on a kit called "Stairway to Cat Heaven". Loosely based - I don't want the designers blamed for my deviations. I regretted some of my coulour choices and border patterns halfway through construction, so it was difficult to finish this one.

It's dedicated to the family cat we all loved, and the last one we all lived with together before my children spread their wings. Her name was "Beyrooz", or "Bey", and she passed in 2009 at the ripe age of 16.

I sure learned a lot about doing applique from this one!

I love love love this cat quilt. You did a fantastic job. I have the same problem of getting part way through and regretting choices. But I don't see anything to regret in your quilt. Wonderful colors, wonderful layout.
