My second quilt, which bloomed from a beginners class I took last year. Shipped it north to Cape Cod, where it's keeping my Mom warm.

I love these cheerful colors. Your beginners class taught you how to do feathering? I need a class like that.

About the quilting & feathering: I should have said the class was for making a first top. After that, I stumble-fumbled around quite a bit, and learned the quilting and feathering as I went along. Trust me, the back of the quilt is very much that of a first-timer learning to quilt. More birds nests than we have in the back yard!

This is absolutely beautiful.  And what a great setting to photography it.  I could just sit with a glass of ice tea and a good book wrappd in this quilt in the garden.
