I used "Moda Bake Shop: Charmed Gift Bags" pattern for the little bag to see how the dimensions would work out. Then I adjusted it to fit my quilt by tripling the size and adding a layer of batting and some pockets on the inside of the large bag. I also muted the fabric choices so it could be a little multi-purpose bag.
