This is a little wall hanging I did years ago to coordinate with the table cloth, curtains, and napkins I made for our new house. I had purchased the whole bolt of fabric so I had lots of fun with it.

It is machine pieced, and hand quilted. I'm afraid I have no idea how to properly hand quilt, but since I didn't intend for it to receive lots of abuse I figured I could just wing it. It has been washed dozens of times and is beginning to fade a bit but I still love it.

I recalled seeing an Irish chain quilt somewhere and I sort of went that direction with this quilt. I modified it so the larger squares are actually rectangles so I could fit an entire piece of fruit in one piece.

What a great use of fabric, and incorporating an Irish chain.  I really, really like this quilt.

Nice.  I like how you worked it so you had your full pieces of fruit.  Good idea.
