This is a design from McCall's Quilting March/April 2011.  I didn't like the block that was used in the pattern so I used my own block.   This block is Friendly Hand which is a variation on Friendship Star and Snail's Trail.  There are pockets on either end.

That Is cool Nana! I not only like your blocks better, but your colors, too! Was it difficult? I've been debating making one?

I love the pockets.  I have a pattern for a shawl but I haven't tried it yet.  I'll see if I can adapt it to include pockets.

I really love this shawl.  I get the McCall's Quilting and saw it in the magazine.  I like your block, but I also like the block in the magazine made with the country colors.  My Mom would love this  Last year I made her a quillow for Mother's Day.

Really like this Nana.   What are the finished dimensions?  I also agree with Leslie - you need to model it.
