This is another Patrick Lose design.  I made two of them to give as gifts.  It is machine appliqued and satin stitched.  It is 12"x12".

I love small, quick-to-make projects.  I'll have to take a photo of the other one I made.  Mostly the same fabrics, except for the green one on the bottom right.

How do you think it would look with a blanket/buttonhole stitch instead of satin?

Thanks everyone - Came, I think it would look great with a blanket stitch instead of the satin stitch.  I use the 2 stitches interchangeably when doing applique.  I used a blanket stitch on the patriotic tablerunner - there's a photo of it in the gallery.
