I love to embroider, and this wall hanging satisfied my desire to quilt and embroider both.  It is from a company called Bareroots.  The pattern is "Heaven on Earth" and it is designed by Barri Sue Gaudet.  I love the simplicity of the stitchery on this.  The stitchery is in all the little panels as well as all around the border of the quilt. I did change one of the panels on this quilt and used my own pattern.  The panel was of a dog and I had just been bitten by a dog, so i just couldn't do that at the time, so I did a cardinal with a nest in a tree.

Very cute wall hanging.  I love the touch of a tree branch as your hanger.

i took a class from her and her sister one time.  what a fiasco ( the class! they were darling).   their work is very primative (the reason i took the class) and one of them kept saying "it will be fine".  if fine includeds tripleD cups all over the place, then fine it was.   i love their patterns.  i can't remember the sister's last name but i think her first was cherry.       was this pattern easy to follow?    gini

Gini - Oh how awesome to be able to take a class from these designers!  I love primitive stuff.  Yes, the pattern was very easy to follow.    Oh, I should say that I made my own pattern for the panel with a dog in it.  I changed it into one with a bird in the tree.  The reason being that I had just gotten bitten by a dog!  I just couldn't at that time put a cute doggy in my quilt!  :)  Guess I should change my write-up to add that.
