Felted Owl Scene

Another felted scene I'm working on, not yet completed.  I had to complete the felting process on this with hand felting needles because it became too thick to work under the needles of my Babylock machine; the needles kept breaking.  I plan to embellish this piece and make a wall hanging out of it.

Gini - It is pretty dense, which makes the needle harder to get through.  The density and thickness is because of the layering of wool roving and yarn that I used, especially around the details like the owl and tree, moon.  As an analogy, compare sewing through two thicknesses of jeans as compared to a cotton shirt.  Or sewing through material that has been fused down as opposed to not fused down.  When this project is done, it is about 3/16" all over, but thicker in spots like the owl.  It is hard for me to explain it, but hopefully this gives you an idea.
