I made this wall hanging for a friend of mine in the Carnival business.  He commissioned me to make a King size quilt for his business partners wife and this is the miniature version of it!  I loved it so much.  This was also a great practice piece for me on skill building with my freemotion quilting

Giddy - I love your quilt.  Did you design those horses yourself?  I like how you gave them different types of manes and tails.

I took a coloring page offline and made the body of the horses and freehanded the saddles and tails and mane so they were all different.  Used all different fabrics on every horse also.  It was a practice piece lol taught myself to hand applique...it was tedious! lol  But I think it turned out just beautiful and Magz I have a Janome 6600.  I've been asked twice now if I did it on a long arm! lol I will definately take that as a compliment...did all the work on my standard and practiced my McTavishing!

thanks Aleta!  this was practice...first time I tried 'mctavishing'...doesn't quite look like mctavishing but I just took her class this week and now I have the hang! I am now certified to teach mctavishing on tradional machines! woohoo!
