In practicing free motion, I wanted to come up with my own design and do something different.
I can't believe how good you are doing on the FM. Great job!
Oh my this is so beautiful, working toward being able to do this type of work. Just stunning
Diane and Granny,
Thank you. I just love the freedom of it all.
Great job Steph.
Great job Steph. Did you draw your design on the fabric first or just wing it?
WOW!! Will you do my next quilt...??
Karen, Marge and CC, Thank you so much.
I did use a water soluble blue marker to draw out the design first. I had doodles on paper first until I drew one that I liked. When I was finished I just spritzed the lines away. I also took some fabric markers and went lightly over the center are to give it a little more depth.
Steph this is beautiful! I can't even imagine being able to do this. How long have you been doing FMQ?
Not long and not much. I had a couple practice sandwiches and did a simple meandering on my sisters quilt. From there I wanted to focus on using practice for projects I could use and not waste, so that is what started my doodling and then to a stencil.
oh my stephanie, this is awesome
Stephanie I am going to start sending all my quilts to you to do the quilting. Awesome.
You turned an ordinary sunflower into a work of art. It is simply gorgeous. All the detail is beautiful ! Marlene
Stehanie, you have a tallent here. Really beautiful!
Thank you all so much. It was a lot of fun to step out there and do something different.
Wow! I don't think I will ever be able to do that and have it look so well. Just beautiful!
Thank you Denise. You can do it!
