Quilting with Linens

My grandmother wore a blue lacy hankie in the pocket of her Sunday suit (a solid blue suit of polyester) to church nearly every Sunday. I quilted it as the centerpiece of one of my earliest quilts on my new longarm one year ago. Sue Kleinschmidt from Beloit, Wisconsin sold me the machine, and when she came to Nashville, she spent some time training me, while the snow was falling rapidly outside my window.  She was right at home of course. Now the quilt has made its way to Australia, to a new baby, and the parents were so honored to receive it, they weren't sure if they should hang it, or allow the baby to drool on it! I said, "Every quilt has a story that you are now part of.  Life is about these stories, and we must live our lives to the fullest.  Many blessings."
