My husband and I have been married for 38 years, this January and this guitar was purchased in 1972 when we were dating. It was part of our family fun, singing Froggy went a Courtin' and many other favorites.

I took a picture of it and made an applique pattern from it. Used fabric paint for details. Fabric Photo transfer was used for the flower design on the guitar.

great job!  Looks like the guitar is sitting on the fabric instead of being appliqued on!

oooh wow Brenda.  That is a beautiful quilt!!  My husband and his friend build guitars for fun.  I was watching pattern to make a quilt.  Yours is perfect.  Thank you so much for sharing.

I like the way your quilting echoes the shape of the guitar.  Nice job....... my grandson would love it.

Nice quilt!  I have a Yamaha I purchased in 1981 which has been adopted by my son then my daughter.  Isn't music in the family great?
