This was for my neighbor's mother she asked me to make. I told her to write down the first thing she thought of that would remind her of each sibling. this is how it turned out and I did fill the center in with pictures of the beginning of their marriage and end when dad passed away. and I put the label on front and not the back. Yes it is embroidered again! Mom loved it !! and so does daughter. the other blocks are prayer blocks. Let me know what you think!   I did the backing in flannel because I like to be warm. Mostly cotton fronts and always flannel in to back and try to match the theme on the front of the quilt or something the person likes. I like to use variegated thread to quilt with and the different types of stitches and some times I will put a message in the quilting like who it is from why I made it just anything. instead of quilting with designs or straight lines I do it with words.

Sue, what a great quilt, and also quilting with words is so unique.  To do embroidery on a quilt gives it such a different look.
