Scrappy Carpenter's Wheel

I made this Carpenter's Wheel pattern with half square triangles instead of the traditional diamonds.  I saw a similar layout of the blocks in an older quilt shown in a magazine and I especially loved the quilting on that original.  I copied the original layout and quilting design from that picture.  The blocks are machined pieced and the quilt is hand quilted.

I entered this quilt in the 2009 NC Quilt Symposium and won 3rd place in the large bed quilt category.

Made in 2008-2009.

I love this quilt.  So colorful.  and so much of your work is hand quilted!
