I was inspired by a picture in a book with a vase full of leaves. I
designed this on graph paper, raided my mother's stash and my stash to
find all of the fabrics that spoke leaves and created this wall
hanging. This is 2 pieces of a 3 wall hanging set that I use in my living room
in the fall.
The vase is machined pieced, the leaves are hand
appliqued and the quilt is hand quilted in 3 colors. I wanted to
stipple the background and I got a little carried away with the small
stitches, so the background cream fabric looks less like fabric and more
like a textured material.
