One of my best friends asked me if I would make her a quilt from her daughter's baby clothes. Her daughter is now 10 years old. She lives in Texas and I live in Michigan. I received a huge box of clothes and started the journey. After looking at patterns for several weeks, I finally found the perfect one. I started making blocks and after using all the clothes once I ended up with 35 blocks. I figured an even 40 would give me close to a twin size quilt. I purchased fabric for the lattice, cornerstones, background and used greens from my own stash - so there is a little bit of me in it too. My friend and her daughter were thrilled.
