I made a memory quilt from a wedding dress and the green Irish linen fabric was the underlayers of the dress. The woman who I made the memory quilt for said to just throw out the underlayers. But I couldn't so I teamed it up with spring florals and made a lap quilt for my grand niece as a job well done gift.

Waste not want not when it comes to old fabric. The wedding dress was over 90 years old and the Irish linen was too pretty to discard.

Beautiful!  And what a great way to use unwanted fabric.  Did you say if you also do the quilting on a long arm or your DSM?

This is beautiful! I love the quilting. And I'm thrilled you found a way to salvage the linen too! Way to go!
