I made this quilt for my brother and sister-in-law. None of it is pieced - this is all applique - which is a deviation from what I usually do (I love pieced stars!). It is a remake of a large quilt in a church - we found a kit on a popular website. I cut out pieces via fusible web and then I ironed in place to the quilt top. Then I sandwiched and quilted. I decided to use a blanket stitch around all pieces that look like stones. I used gold metallic thread around halos to add some sparkle to the quilt. It took forever to quilt - slow going. But one of my favorite pieces that I've done to date.
