This was the first of 9 quilts I made for my Great-Nieces & Nephews.  My Grandmother made quilts for all of her children, grandchildren, and all but 2 of her great-grandchildren (by the time my two youngest boys were born she could no longer quilt).  When I started quilting I decided someone should carry on the tradition for her, so I elected myself.  My mother made the Sunbonnet Sue's and I designed, created and quilted the quilt.

I like the combination of the nine patch with the Sunbonnet Sue blocks.

What a wonderful tradition to carry on.  Your quilt is just beautiful.  The nine blocks look great with the Sunbonnet Sue's.  I bet the little girl that got this was very proud of it.
